Colita Hardy was born to the late RoyLe Hardy and Gertrude "Kate" Simmons-Glenn January 11, 1964, in Gainesville FL. Raised in Hawthorne FL.

Colita most commonly known as "Vette", resided in St. Petersburg FL. Vette graduated Hawthorne FL 1983, from Santa Fe College in Gainesville Fl with her associate degree in nursing in 1995. Dedicated to the field of Nursing, she worked 28 years with the Geriatric population which she had a great passion for. Serving as a Nurse in Gainesville, Orlando, DeLand, Sanford, Clearwater and St. Petersburg FL area throughout her career.

Vette loved to travel and explore different experiences. She loved the beach , shopping, spending quality time with family and friends. Her hobbies included anything to do with arts and crafts, making earrings, painting ceramics, interior decorating, cooking and much more .

A doting, loving, wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Niece, Aunt, cousin, and Friend. She leaves behind her devoted and loving Children: Jason Hardy, Tracey Hardy and Kenya Turner.

Her beloved Grandchildren: Jasmine Hardy, Terence Shaw Jr, Timothy Shaw, Tristen Ferguson, Jason Hardy Jr., Jada Hardy, and Raeonate Hughes.

Her siblings whom she loved dearly.

Sisters: Bessie Hardy- Crawford (Clint), Sheila Simmons, Carlony Hardy, Sabrina Miller, Tonya Miller, Merry Cotton, Willie Belle Cotton, and Lorine Cotton.

Brothers: Elzy Miller, Robert Simmons, Rodriguez Hardy, Jerome Hardy (Christine), and Charles Hardy.

Late Siblings: Leroy Hardy, James (Pubby) Hardy, and Leon "Red" Hardy.
