The Beginning
Born in Micanopy, Florida on May 21, 1936, to the late Ira Smith and Mable Strobles- Brinson, (also raised by Step-dad Willie Wade Brinson, Sr.)
Military Service
United States Army, April 3, 1956, to March 12, 1958
Employment
Cosvia retired from the Miami Dade County Transit Department after 33 years of dedicated service. Cosvia also attended barber college in Jacksonville, Florida and subsequently became a part-time professional barber
Final Journey
Cosvia completed his journey here on earth and began his life in Glory on Tuesday, December 12, 2023
He Leaves To Cherish Precious Memories
brother: Willie “Billy” (Pearl) Brinson, Jr. of Micanopy, Florida; uncle: Reverend Stanley (Patsy) Strobles of Micanopy, Florida; nieces: Latasha and Valerie Brinson both of Atlanta, Georgia and Patricia Kirtsey of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews: Ennis Dawson and Marlon Johnson both of Ocala, Florida and Abdul and Ramon Smith; great nephew: Second Lieutenant Abraham Smith of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Keron Dawson of Ocala, Florida, as well as a host of other family members and lifelong friends.
He Was Preceded In Death By
Wife: Rebecca Smith; two brothers: Charles Ira Smith and Julius Lee Smith; and one sister: Marian (LaMerrell) Johnson.
