1949 - Gloria Cassandra Monroe - 2024
Gloria Cassandra Monroe was born July 14, 1949, in Ocala, Florida to the late Kencey and Hattie Mae Gross.
Gloria matriculated through the Levy County Public System and worked at Oaks Rehabilitation in Gainesville, FL as Supervisor of Housekeeping before her retirement.
Gloria was a member of Allen Chapel AME in Williston, FL where she served in the choir and as the church Secretary.
In July 1966, Gloria married the LOVE of her LIFE Freddie Monroe and from that union two children were born, Tobias Y. Monroe and Tamara Monroe Moss.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Monroe; son, Tobias Y. Monroe, Sr. and grandson; parents, Kencey and Hattie Mae Gross; brothers, Charles Taylor and William Johnson; sisters Christine Gross and Imogene Robinson.
Gloria was a very family-oriented woman whom would do anything for her loved ones. On October 17, 2024, She left this world and took her stroll on to Glory Lane.
She Leaves To Cherish Her Life, Legacy and Memories…
Her loving daughter, Tamara Moss (Vernon), three bonus children Demetrius Robinson, Kathy Robinson and Jenell Morris; three grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; her sisters Jacqueline Brown (Elijah); Fannie Howell (Wanda); and brother Vance Poole (Rose); Mother-n-Law, Betty Monroe; three Sisters-n-Law, Rose Williams (Reggie), Lola Mae Coleman and Betty Monroe; three godchildren, Gloria Williams, Faye Appling and Eric Crump. She will also leave to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom loved her dearly.
