PARENTS:    Mother: Mariah Brown Graham and Father: James (JP) Graham

 

PLACE OF BIRTH:   Ocala, Florida

 

CHILDHOOD:   Mary spent her childhood in Belleview, Florida

 

EDUCATION:   Mary graduated from Belleview Santos High School in 1968. She attended Saint Mary School of Nursing in West Palm Beach in 1970. She also received a bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida in 1977. But her education didn’t stop, she received her Nursing Degree from Compton College in 1980 and later a master’s in education from Nova Southeastern University.

 

PROFESSIONAL     Mary was a licensed LPN and RN in the state of California and Florida

LICENSURES/         Mary was licensed as an RN in Illinois and Maryland.

CERTIFICATIONS  Mary also received a teacher certification in California, Illinois,              

                                     Maryland and Florida.

 

MARRIAGE:   Mary married Isaac Terrell of Dunnellon, Florida on August 4, 1973, at Ramah Missionary Baptist Church in Belleview, Florida. To this union was born one child, her cherished daughter, Candace Latoria Terrell.

 

SUNSET:   November 23, 2023

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mariah Brown Graham, and James (JP) Graham; Six brothers: Howard Campbell(Ann), Curtis Graham(Elvira), Clarence(Ella Mae), Theodore(Vivian), Willie James, and Samuel(Edna); and a special nephew, Silas Spearman, Jr.

 

SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER PRECIOUS MEMOEIES

 

HUSBAND:     Isaac Terrell, her husband for over fifty years of marriage. They became a military family that traveled over the United States before returning to retire in Orlando, Florida then later retiring as doting grandparents in Houston, Texas.

 

CHILD:   Candace Latoria Terrell Bridges. her cherished daughter. Candace was beloved and adored by her mother. Mary readily accepted Candace’s husband Bernard, as her own.

 

GRANDCHILDREN:   Mary was truly a loving, caring, protective, and doting Grandma for her three loving grandchildren, Bernard(Tre), Gavin(Little Ike), and Reagan(Baby Girl). She was that special Grandma, who was always there for everything, their biggest cheerleader, and constantly made them laugh.

 

SISTERS:  Carolyn Graham Alberty(Joe) of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Ada Mae Graham Grant(Jessie) of Belleview, Florida.

 

BROTHERS:   George Graham, Sr.(Myrtle) of Ocala, Florida

 

GODSONS:  Joseph Walters(Stephanie) of Norfolk, VA; and Courtney Walters(Althea) of Upper Marlboro, MD.

 

FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND OTHERS:   Family members including a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and other relatives. Numerous friends, colleagues, and others.

Mary will surely be missed as she touched so many lives as Auntie, Teacher, and Nurse. She was well-liked and respected by so many people over the years. She exhibited warmth and tenderness such that people were instantly drawn to her. Grandma, Auntie Mary, Nurse Terrell, and Mrs. Terrell(The Teacher) was truly loved and cherished by so many.
