Time to Be Born:
Deacon Willie Charles Easmon, Sr. was born on April 14, 1943, the Oldest of 10 siblings to Leroy Easmon and Hattie Mae Easmon (Both Preceded him in death).
A Time to Live
He attended the public school system in Dunnellon, Fl where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1961. Deacon Easmon married his Wife, Mable Silas and this union lasted for nearly 59 years. To this union, three children were born and together they raised their family in the community of “Chatmire”. Deacon Easmon was employed for over 35 years at Florida Power Corporation in Crystal River, Florida where he worked until his retirement. Deacon Easmon loved attending Bible study and Sunday worship Service. He also enjoyed studying his Sunday school lesson, socializing with friends and family. One of his favorite pass times was talking daily about the Word of God with his Pastor, Reverend Dr. David Houston Sr.
Deacon Easmon was a faithful Servant to the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was Ordained as a Deacon under the Leadership of the Reverend Dr. Houston in October 2004 where he served faithfully until his demise. He also served on the Finance board, Church choir, assistance Sunday School teacher and Church Custodian. Deacon Easmon would often be there to greet each member as they entered the church for Worship service.
He also loved all sports, but his passion was Baseball and volunteered over 25 years as a little league coach in the community. Deacon Easmon was a very important part of his community and was loved by all and will be truly missed. He has served in many capacities and his presence in the Dunnellon Community will surely be missed.
A Time to Rest
On March 19, 2022, a faithful Servant was summoned home to fulfill the will of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
A Time to Remember
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Mable Easmon; 3 Children, Willie C. Easmon Jr (Sharon), Tracy D. Easmon and Rita T. Easmon (Jeanne) 7 grandchildren, Albert (Shane), Terry, Douglas, Richard, Justin, Courtnee’, Maria, Aja and Jayla. 4 sisters, Maxine Turley, Ella M Taylor, Barbara Bradley, and Betty Walker. Two brothers, Willie L. Easmon and Terry Easmon. Godson, Broderick Houston, and a very special “Right-Hand man” James “Boochie” Johnson.
